At long last, the piece I've been working on for the past... two? three? months. For a friend! Conceptualized as desktop wallpaper, hence the dark backdrop.
I started this way too detailed, and it came back to bite me - after starting hi-def it's tough to go back down! So it's over half photoreferenced, some real life reference from the jungle outside, and largely like a huge painful study, but hey, when rusty art-wise, photorealism is a good place to start! I'll upload some closeups in scraps later and link them here.
